2018 Budget Hearings

Legislators need to hear from you that their investments in kids are working to ensure Virginia is on a path toward prosperity. If you can testify in support of access to children’s mental health services, access to health insurance, improvement to the foster care system, and continuance of the Governor’s Children’s Cabinet, we would love to hear from you! Voices staff will be at each budget-hearing location and can help you with day-of details and your talking points.

Below hearings begin at 10:00 a.m.:

Loudoun County – Northern VA Community College at Loudoun, Waddell Building

Radford – Radford University, Kyle Hall

Below hearings begin at 12:00 noon:

Virginia Beach – Tidewater Community College, Virginia Beach Campus, Student Center

Richmond – Science Museum of Virginia, Dewey Gottwald Center

The purpose of the hearings is to receive comments on the governor’s proposed 2018-20 biennial state budget. Anyone wishing to speak may register at each hearing site no earlier than one hour prior to the start of the hearing. Contact Allison Gilbreath by Jan. 2 if you can testify.
