Learning About Children’s Mental Wellness

Join The Campaign for Children’s Mental Health at Tuckahoe Elementary School in Henrico for this special event, sponsored by the PTA and the Counseling Department.

The featured speaker is Dr. Cheryl Al-Mateen, Associate Professor and Interim Medical Director of the Virginia Treatment Center for Children at VCU. Dr. Al-Mateen is a child and adolescent psychiatrist.

Following Dr. Al-Mateen’s remarks, there will be a panel discussion. The panel will feature professionals with a variety of perspectives on children’s mental wellness, and several organizations that advocate or provide support and services to families will have information at the resource fair.

Panelists:

Voices’ executive director Margaret Nimmo Crowe will be facilitating the panel discussion, and Ashley Everette, Campaign Coordinator, will be there with our resource table. The event is open to ALL, not just Tuckahoe Elementary or Henrico families. Please join us!
