Allison Brody
Allison Brody is the principal at Leverett Philanthropic Advising. Allison works as a thought partner and advisor to individuals to create a vision and a plan of action for their philanthropy – a plan which reflects their individual purpose, goals, and values.
Allison has experienced the philanthropic world from many perspectives during her career of 30+ years. She worked at GuideStar, an information hub for the nonprofit sector. She spent many years as a prospect researcher and grant writer, including at the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg where she honed her passion for early childhood education. She was a Director of Development at Child Development Resources in Williamsburg, VA, and Director of Community Resource Development and Engagement at the Williamsburg Health Foundation. At WHF, she led capacity-building efforts for grantees and, in 2020, the COVID Community Collaboration.
She lives and works in Williamsburg, VA with her husband, a retired United States Coast Guard officer. She has two grown sons, Samuel and Truman.
