Tracey Wright

Vice Chair

Tracey Wright is a native of Dickson, Tennessee, who currently calls Lebanon, Virginia, located
in Russell County home. A mathematics major, Wright taught 7th and 8th graders algebra and
pre-algebra prior to beginning a career as a student affairs professional in higher education.

Through her career in higher education through service in positions ranging from Area
Coordinator in Housing & Residence Life to her current position of Dean of Student Affairs and
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at Emory & Henry College Health Sciences Campus,
she has worked with teens and emerging adults as they strive to prepare for life beyond the
college. Wright enjoys working on issues that she is passionate about, reading, traveling and
cooking. She is married to Tommy Wright and she has two adult daughters, Jayma Moore and
Jaynae Wright.


Service to the community in which she lives is a hallmark of her life. She appreciated finding
meaningful ways to engage and give back to her community. he currently serves as a member of
the Board of Directors for Voices for Virginia’s Children (Vice-Chair), Appalachian Voices (Chair)
and Russell County Community Hospital Board. Additionally, she is a member of the Richlands
Woman’s Club and Delta Kappa Gamma, an education honor society.
