The Governor’s Children’s Cabinet has been an incredibly useful method to support interagency collaboration and prioritize children’s issues. In the last two Governor’s Administrations the Children’s Cabinet has tackled plans to improve food access and security, improve early childhood education and create trauma-informed systems of care.

COVID-19 has created additional challenges for children and families that key leadership in Governor’s office continues to be essential too help address new challenges. Help ensure future gubernatorial administrations can tackle these issues by supporting a permanent Children’s Cabinet and Advisor position.

Delegate Paul Krizek and Senator Jennifer McClellan have introduced budget amendments in the House (52 #3h) and Senate (52 #1s) to fund the Children’s Cabinet and a permanent Advisor position.

Show your organization’s or group’s support of this issue by signing on to a letter to be delivered to House Appropriations and Senate Finance and Appropriations leaders.

DEADLINE TO SIGN-ON: FRIDAY, JANUARY 29th.
