Interviewed at the Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day event in Henrico on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, mom and advocate Susan Thrush explained to WCVE reporter Craig Carper how mobile crisis services could have helped her son, who suffers from severe bipolar disorder and Asperger’s Syndrome. Listen to the interview, which highlights the $3.3 million in new funding just allocated by the General Assembly for children’s mental health services.

Thank you, Susan, for telling your story! It is you and parents like you telling your stories that helped the Campaign advocate successfully for the funding.
