Unity Walk 2022

You are invited to the Virginia Museum of History and Culture 2022 Unity Walk, commemorating the 59th anniversary of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech on August 28, 1963! We will start from Virginia Museum of History & Culture and will walk peacefully, singing inspiring songs, celebrating the vision of our shared liberation. We’ll stop at Marcus-David Peters Circle for a brief time of meditation and reflection and then we will walk back to the museum together, where we’ll hear from community minded organizations about their mission and vision and their call to action. Tables will be set up for organizations that wish to share information. Each of the two legs of the walk are 0.80 miles, making the walk 1.60 miles total.
